BIG-GAME | Stripe Daybed
Playfully reinterpreting traditional upholstery techniques, BIG-GAME used unhemmed stripes of Divina fabric to create a cover for a comfortable, low daybed for one person. The design uses a solid oak structure with recessed feet to give the impression that the mattress is floating. Using the elegant and simple principle of crisscrossing the fabric to create patterns, the layers of plain-coloured fabric draw attractive geometrical shapes on the daybed.www.big-game.ch
BIG-GAME are Grégoire Jeanmonod, Elric Petit, and Augustin Scott De Martinville. The three partners met while studying industrial design at ECAL/University of Art and Design Lausanne. Sharing a common taste for simple, functional and optimistic objects, they opened the
BIG-GAME design studio in 2004.
Today, they still believe in the same values and nothing makes them happier than to design objects and interiors that embellish everyday life. They’ve worked with Alessi, Hay, Karimoku New Standard and Galerie Kreo among others and some of their works are now part of collections in the Museum für Gestaltung in Zurich, the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
